Levi and Nikki Romero

Pastors Levi and Nikki Romero are the founders and lead pastors of Ignite My City Church. They have been married for 26 years. They have 2 children and 1 grandchild. Together, they have led three generations into revival and continue to fight for the forward movement of the church; preparing the way for the return of the Lord.

Growing up, Levi was raised in a Pastor/Missionary home, where he was taught to take the gospel to the ends of the earth. Levi spent time during his childhood living in Europe and as an adult, alongside his wife, traveled from the U.S.A. back to Europe and Mexico to continue missionary work.

Though raised in church, Levi had not fully devoted his life to the work of the Lord until 2009, when he encountered the Holy Spirit and was marked by the transformation that took place. Opening his Bible for the first time, after inviting the Lord into his life, he read Lamentations 3:55-58. Knowing that the Lord had heard his cry for freedom, he was set on a path of evangelism to see the lives of others transformed.

In 2010, while driving over the Grapevine, Levi had an open-eyed vision of the valley on fire. As he watched the valley burn, he heard the Lord commission him to “Ignite the Valley.” From there, Levi and his wife, Nikki, began a young adults ministry in the church they had grown up in, with the intention of raising leaders, creating opportunities, and supporting and launching others into their calling.

Levi’s passion to see others experience a life-changing encounter with the Lord led to him becoming ordained as a pastor in 2011. Marked with the heart of a shepherd, Levi and Nikki began to hunger for an outpouring of the Lord’s Spirit, as promised in the last days. As the hunger grew, Levi had another encounter with the Lord, where both he and the bride of Christ were being anointed like John the Baptist to prepare the way for Christ’s return. They would be marked as “Carriers of Revival”. His desire was that the church would be awakened and known as the “Remnant” crying out for more. Just like Jeremiah, Levi had a fire that burned inside of him. The Lord told him to “Set yourself on fire and the world would watch you burn!”

After 14 years of laying their lives down to serve as Assistant Pastors, Levi once again heard the Lord calling him to set the valley on fire by first igniting a passion in the people of his local community. With a vision to mark all four corners of Modesto with a move of the Lord, Levi and Nikki launched Ignite My City Church.

In January of 2025, Levi and Nikki birthed a ministry focused on healing, reviving, and raising up God’s people. Steadfastly, they continue to do the work of the Lord by pastoring, evangelizing, teaching, and loving the people of God. Levi and Nikki are known as encouragers of the church, prompting the body of Christ to continue with forward movement until Christ’s return. With an urgency of the last days revival, Levi and Nikki continue to press forward paving the way for many others to experience a move of God.
